Von der heutigen US-Notenbanksitzung erwarten die Märkte keine besondere Überraschung. Eine weitere Leitzinssenkung auf hochoffizielle Nullkommanull Prozent wäre reine Augenwischerei.
Dennoch kann es im Vorfeld der Veröffentlichung zu volatilen Bewegungen an den Märkten kommen. An an sich ereignislosen Tagen sehen die Grossen des Geschäfts immer wieder neue Chancen mit Gerüchten vor allem den Devisenmarkt zu bewegen und rasche Spekulationsgewinne einzufahren.
"Buy the Rumor, Sell the News" , hierzu passt das seit gestern kusierende Gerücht um die Ausdehnung der Aufkäufe fauler Wertpapiere. Platzt als nächstes die Blase der Kreditkartenschulden?
Erste Erfolge sind zu sehen, der Dollar schwächelt und das Momentum für den Euro nimmt zu. EUR/USD stehen heute wohl vor weiteren Kursgewinnen.
Aber wie bereits geschrieben ... der Einfluss wohllanzierter Gerüchte ist nicht zu unterschätzen.
